01
Total market cap: did the market's size change?
This is the sum of each asset's circulating supply multiplied by its current price. Supply changes and newly tracked assets also affect the total, so it is not identical to net cash entering the market.
02
24-hour volume: did participation actually expand?
Check whether a short-term price move came with higher volume. Do not mix totals from different providers; compare daily or weekly changes using one aggregation method.
03
Dominance: where is value concentrated?
This is BTC or ETH market cap as a share of the total market. Both numerator and denominator move, so a ratio change cannot determine the direction of one asset's price.
04
Fear & Greed: what is the prevailing mood?
This provider-specific reference combines inputs such as volatility, volume and attention. Extreme fear or greed can persist, and the calculation method may change.
05
Timeframe: the same move can tell different stories
A 24-hour gain may be a rebound inside a weekly decline. Separate daily, weekly and monthly views and confirm that comparison windows and time zones match.

Checklist before reaching a conclusion
Verify source, update time, base currency, spot or derivatives coverage, supply changes and exchange price differences. Recheck unexplained spikes against the original provider and official announcements.
